Khubsurat’s director Umang Shah organized an event “Interactive session with Shri Mukeshbhai Patel & felicitation of Dr. Jignasha Oza, Regional Officer of GPCB, Surat” on Saturday November 4, 2023.
In this event she was honoured by NGO Khubsurat with “Green Guardian Award”. This award was handed her by Shri Mukesh Patel, Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Climate Change, Water Resources and Water Supply, for her active role in the conservation of the environment, tree plantation in the industrial area in Pandesara. She has taken up initiatives like conversion of Hathora Site, where she cleared the toxic land fill by getting rid of 271 tonnes of toxic contaminated waste and transporting it to TSDF site and then converting the land into a Green Lush Cover by planning to plant 14000 plants out of which 7500 plantations have already been achieved.
On the other hand, Mukesh Sir who presented this award is himself working so hard to improve and sustain environmental condition of our state and he is constantly making reforms and helping industrialists to achieve sustainability in true sense.
Event was bestowed with the presence of various industrial groups and SGCCI (Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industries) members.
NGO Khubsurat has taken up this initiative of recognizing such hidden gems like Dr. Oza Madam who are doing some exceptional work in realm of environment.
